I am out to change the public accounting industry as we know it. Since accounting firms came into existence, the model has been the same: bring in as much business as possible, work your staff as hard as possible and pay them only as much as you have to. Because of this, many CPAs eventually burnout and leave public accounting to go work in-house for a private company. Or, they go out on their own and, if they're successful, create another accounting firm that repeats the cycle. This is why colleges are graduating fewer and fewer accounting graduates, as the younger generation has more visibility into what a career in public accounting really looks like. I believe the traditional accounting firm model will be forced to evolve in order to attract and retain talent and I believe that we've built a firm that will lead this evolution.
