Winner Bio

I spent almost 20 years as a tax and estate planning lawyer, but I am retired from law practice. Along the way, I've served as a trustee and on the Louisiana Board of Tax Appeals for eight years, appointed by Governor Foster. I am a highly sought after speaker and consultant because of my innate ability to see through the complexity and explain difficult and even boring subjects in understandable and entertaining language and mince no words in doing so. Along the way, I've been a father, husband, lawyer, trustee, director, president, partner, trust protector, director of planned giving, expert witness, agent, professor, judge, juror and a defendant, and I use my experience in these myriad roles to guide others. I am a consultant to advisors in the areas of tax, charitable and estate planning. Specialties: Estate planning; business valuation; taxation; speaking; writing; planned giving.
