Course Description

It’s hard to quantify exactly how important trust is for a business. For business owners, a lack of trust is your biggest expense. It may take years for a manager or an executive to develop the trust of his or her employees, but only moments to lose. Without trust, transactions cannot occur, influence is destroyed, leaders can lose teams and salespeople can lose sales. The list goes on. Trust and relationships, much more than money, are the currency of business.

This CPD Webinar will discuss the distinction between trust and trustworthiness within a business context and apply the concepts to the development of a differentiated value proposition and related communications strategy.

This online course is provided by Rod Burylo, an international author and educator specializing in professional and organizational ethics for the financial services and accounting industries. Rod Burylo, CIM, FCSI, is Board Advisor and Manager, Capital Markets for Pinnacle Accounting and Finance. He has worked throughout the financial services for a wide variety of companies in roles that include CCO, CFO and Director. For over 30 years, Rod has been designing and delivering continuing education as a writer and speaker on the topic of business ethics and professional responsibility for several designation and registration categories, including CPA, CFP, PBA and IIROC. He is a 2004 Canadian Advisor of the Year Award winner, 2019 Champion of Financial Literacy Award Finalist, and author of three books, including The Wealthy Buddhist (2019). Rod also consults to boards and leadership teams on topics that include governance, communications strategy, and regulatory compliance. He has served on the board of public and private companies, as well as professional associations and not for profits, including the National Exempt Market Association, Foundation for the Advancement of Entrepreneurship, and the Public Business Accountants Society.
