This CPD course is for
Canadian CPAs only!
As a business, charity, or
non-profit in Canada that has been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, you may
be eligible for one or more subsidies to cover part of your wage and rent
expenses.
Did
you take advantage of the Canadian COVID Relief Programs?
In response to the COVID-19
pandemic, the Canadian Government introduced the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy (CEWS). It subsidizes a portion of an employee’s wages to eligible
employers. The purpose of the CEWS is to allow employers to maintain their
employees on the payroll during the pandemic, prevent job loss, and create new
employment opportunities.
CERS is a new program to support
Canadian businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and replaces the
now-expired Canadian Emergency Commercial Rent Assistance (CECRA) program. CERS
will provide rent support directly to tenants.
Canada Revenue Agency is starting to audit these
claims. With the help of this CPD webinar, learn about the main areas where
claimants made errors and tips to navigate the audits effectively.
