Identity theft is the crime of obtaining the personal or financial information of another person for the sole purpose of assuming that person's name or identity to make transactions or purchases. Dr Robert provided a lot of information regarding to protect the identity of tax clients. This included various methods to ensure authentication of the respective client. The IRS does require practitioners to be able to document (drivers license) if their identity is compromised. Also, reviewed ways identity is stolen including safeguards to protect against identity theft.

This was an exceptional presentation and should be required for anyone handling sensitive client tax data. The presenters were terrific and were able to answer questions in the chat as the presentation progressed. Security compliance in our age of identity and data theft can be overwhelming. This webinar made it seem more possible and more manageable - offering clear and step-by-step guidance.

I was very happy to see all the great examples of scams. The amount of content and tips packed into this webinar was impressive. I definitely learned a lot and feel more confident in noticing scams and not panicking when I see fake emails.
