The face-to-face interview is the most important step in the
hiring process. Many HR professionals are not aware of the
responsibility of the task. Personal interviews and employment applications are the
most frequently used tools for selecting the best-qualified candidates for
employment.
Human professionals engaged in the hiring process normally devote much of
their time to interviewing. However, there is an appalling lack of effort given to
systematic attempts at building improvements into this age-old process. No
systematic process is in place through one can ace the interview process fairly. Interviewing
remains one of those activities which we think we know all about merely because
we have been doing it so long; we have been lulled by habit. It seems apparent
that a modest effort aimed at an analysis of our interviewing techniques would
yield generous returns.
Recruiting new employees is a difficult task for many stakeholders in a company. Asking the right questions in a job interview can be tough, especially when the person asking the questions is not trained to know the limits of what they can ask. For many, it takes years to learn and perfect the dos and don’ts of interviewing. In this live webinar, you will learn how to legally recruit, interview, and hire a competent and trustworthy workforce.

This was a very well planned and presented webinar. The instructor hit the points while trying to cover all important data in a limited amount of time. She went from one topic to the next very smoothly and explained the reasoning for most laws or limitations.

Great opportunity to learn about the different interviewing do’s and don’ts, especially those sensitive questions that may seem innocent (asking a candidate about their family or kids), but carry serious implications.

Great presenter. Although I am not involved in the HR function, this was an interesting topic. I would look forward to seeing more of this presenter. Cheers also to Sean/Shawn. What a great host.
