Course Description

Work from home (WFH) is a growing trend in today’s work environment, in which employees can easily plug-in from just anywhere they are.
How do you manage to have that long-distance relationship with your employees?
Long distance relationships are not easy, as we expect the distance to not affect our relationship in any sense.
With the technology evolving, where the information and resources have become accessible to everyone from every nook and cranny, face-to-face working is becoming less popular.

What are the key risks with home working in your jurisdiction that employers should be aware of?

Having employees work from home can create a whole new set of issues that you need to be aware of in order to protect your business. To help you navigate managing remote workers, it is important to establish a telecommuting policy that governs the parameters of a remote worker arrangement. We will be covering jurisdictional issues, timekeeping practices, remote business expenses, and termination challenges.

Join our speaker Cynthia Flynn for this CPE webinar as she will focus on best practices for managing remote workers.

Major topics covered in this online CPE course:

•Telecommuting Policy
•Employee Classification
•Jurisdictional Issues

Very good course. Hit on all the key points, and was very understandable.

The title was misleading. Thought this was more on managing remote workers versus the technicality of the law.
