Course Description

One of the ways to perform a more effective and efficient audit is to maximize the use of analytic procedures in the detailed audit plan. The analytic procedure covers the evaluations of financial information through the analysis of plausible relationships among both financial and non-financial data. To ensure the internal control of the organization analytic procedures can provide substantial support. Such investigation, as necessary, of identified fluctuations or relationships that are inconsistent with other relevant information or that, differ from expected values by a significant amount.

Financial statement auditors need to be able to analyze financial results to not only enhance audit quality but also improve client service by being better business advisors.

Jennifer F.
