Brian has more than 24 years’ experience providing indirect tax solutions, including GST/HST, QST and PST support to non-resident and resident manufacturers, distributors, charities, financial institutions, municipalities, universities/colleges, schools and hospitals to name a few. He also works with clients on resolving WSIB/WCB and EHT issues.
Brian specializes in assisting non-resident clients with Canadian sales and payroll tax issues.
Brian has authored many articles on indirect taxation and regularly presents as part of international conferences on taxation.
Outside of the office, Brian is a pilot and Juno-nominated professional musician that made the Grammy Ballot in the USA and won the prestigious Parents’ Choice Award in the USA.

Charmaine Goddeeris is a Senior Manager in BDO’s Customs and International Trade practice with over 20 years of professional experience providing customs and international trade consulting services to clients in a wide range of industries. Prior to joining BDO, Charmaine has had senior roles in indirect tax and customs compliance practices, including various roles at one of the big 4 global professional services firms as well as a mid-sized Canadian Custom Brokerage company.
As a trusted advisor, Charmaine has assisted importers and exporters in a multitude of trade matters including, customs process reviews, valuation, tariff classification, rules of origin, marking, drawbacks and refunds, free trade agreements.
Manager, BDO Canada LLP
Krunal is a manager in BDO Canada’s Customs and International Trade practice with over 15 years of experience in the area of customs compliance both for major importers and customs brokers. This includes advising on tariff classification, valuation, the use of free trade agreements and duty recovery opportunities.
Krunal is Certified Trade Compliance and Customs Specialist holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with education in customs and international trade.
