Course Description

An opportunity fund is an investment vehicle designed to invest in real estate or business development in areas known as "opportunity zones."

Opportunity zones are particular geographic areas that have been designated as economically distressed. As a result, these areas may be subject to different economic regulations than other regions in the country or state. Tax incentives for investments in opportunity zones include delayed and potentially reduced taxes on capital gains.

An Opportunity Zone Fund that is properly structured may allow you to defer capital gains tax on the sale of ANY asset while making an investment that potentially will generate tax-free income. Learn what to look for in opportunity zone fund sponsors.

Key topics covered in this online Tax webinar for CPAs:

GM

Presentor gave a very useful explanation of opportunity zones and how to use them. Also explained how the opportunity zone and 1031 exchange can work together.

RM

Jeff did an excellent job of presenting information about tax strategies to avoid paying the capital gains tax on certain sales.

CL

The webinar and the moderator were well prepared. The material and the speaker highlighted key points and clarified those gray areas that make understanding QOZ and QOF qualifications and requirements complex. Highly recommend this webinar for those interested in QOZ and QOF.

NK

This was an excellent way to quickly understand the opportunity zone area, with some assistance of 1031 exchanges. Only needed an hour to pick up some great tax saving points for clients, Speaker and firm were very knowledgeable.

TW

Fantastic! Great! Mr. Jeffrey Bangerter excellent presentation of Qualified Opportunity Zone Program. Thanks mycpe for a very professional and educational webinar.

SG

Some of the best graphics I have seen. Very clear. Did not use jargon without repeating substantive identification. Really well done
