Course Description

Course Description

Planning for retirement starts with thinking about your retirement goals and how long you have to meet them. To have a comfortable, secure—and fun—retirement, you need to build the financial cushion that will fund it all. The key part of the same is to build strong planning to reach there.

Retirement planning includes identifying sources of income, estimating expenses, implementing a savings program, and managing assets and risk. Future cash flows are estimated to determine if the retirement income goal will be achieved.

However, retirement planning is a multi-step process and in most cases, it evolves over time.

There have been significant changes to retirement plans that need to be understood and applied for your clients' tax and retirement planning.

Major topics covered in this Tax webinar :

  • What are the techniques on how you can turn a taxable portion of an IRA so that it is tax-free?
  • What are some of the easily overlooked considerations with employer retirement plans?
  • What should be done in light of pending tax legislation?

Learning Objectives

  • To discuss the new Secure Act and Cares Act changes.
  • To describe the new SECURE Act changes.
  • To explain the once-in-a-lifetime rollover from an IRA to HSA.
  • To discuss how to take advantage of the Net Unrealized Appreciation (NUA) rules for certain employer retirement plans.
  • To determine how to master the strategies to help your clients reduce their Required Minimum Distributions.
  • To discuss what is on the horizon with pending tax legislation.

I like this instructor. However, the webinar was outdated and spent a while discussing Build Back Better which has already been voted down. The webinar description said the instructor would be available for questions which was an outright lie. During the webinar I was told there may be time for questions at the end - which is ridiculous - if it was pre-recorded you already knew there was no time for questions at the end.
