Nicholas has worked with the Internal Revenue Service as a Revenue Agent and an Attorney with the IRS Office of Professional Responsibility. Nicholas has authored publications for the AICPA’s Journal of Accountancy, AICPA’s Tax Advisor, NATP’s Tax Pro Journal, and CCH’s Journal of Tax Practice and Procedure. He also co-authored a textbook, Tax Preparer Penalties and Circular 230 Enforcement, published by Thomson Reuters. Nicholas has been recognized as the Top 5 Under 35 CPAs in Virginia, and is a member of the AICPA’s Tax Executive Committee. Nicholas is an adjunct professor at the University of Mary Washington. He is a graduate of Carthage College, University of Connecticut (M.S. in Accounting), Case Western Reserve University School of Law (J.D.), and Georgetown University (LLM in Taxation).

I truly enjoyed the presentation. Nick presented the material in an informative and entertaining way, including real life examples. I feel I learned a lot. I was interested in the entire 4 hour presentation. This long of a webinar could have been brutal with a different presenter.

Excellent instruction and delivery of content. I enjoyed each hour of this training and there was never a dull moment. The instructor utilized numerous real life examples and illustration to highlight subject matter that could be complex at times.

This webinar was the BEST Ethics seminar I have ever attended! Nick was extremely knowledgeable and very thorough in covering the topic. I really appreciated the scenario approach and the case law and real life experiences discussion.

This was a great webinar. Ethics was discussed in detail with several scenarios, easy to understand, and with a lot of information on how to proceed in different situations. Loved it!

I loved this class. I learned so much regarding Circular 230 and the legal repercussions of not doing your due diligence. The penalties can be severe if you do not comply.
