Course Description

Course Description

Employee lawsuits – for unwarranted termination, workplace harassment, or other issues – can be time-consuming, costly, and disruptive to your business and can negatively impact your team’s morale.

Avoiding employee lawsuits should be a prime objective of any business, and by taking prudent steps, initiating uniform hiring and management policies, and creating an employee evaluation system, it’s possible to help lower your risks of employee lawsuits.

This online continuing education course is designed as a refresher for experienced Human Resources professionals, and also it is a great foundational online CPE webinar for those business owners and HR pros with little experience.

Regardless of whether your workplace is unionized or not, this online CPE course will help you think like an employment lawyer who may need to defend you.

This online CPE webinar can help you properly handle minor issues before they grow into huge legal problems. Rather than boring lists, this online CPE course will use real-world examples to assist in understanding the concepts presented.

The SHRM and HRCI Approved CPE webinar will include real-world COVID-related situations that HR professionals are dealing with right now.

Learning Objectives

  • To discuss different ways to handle discipline issues so that the organization can defend against challenges from the EEOC or an employee’s lawyer.
  • To determine how to use emotional intelligence to advance the success of employees and minimize the need for discipline.
