Course Description

Accountants and Bookkeepers! Get the most out of your QuickBooks Online for Accountants (QBOA)s experience with 8 CPE hours of hot tips, cool tricks, and QBOA troubleshooting techniques including, Back door shortcuts, Interface tricks, and Accountant-only tools that allow you to cut your client work in half. Many Accountants and Bookkeepers are making the move to QuickBooks®Online, but others aren't ready yet. The interface is different so it can be hard to find the features you need.

For years, the accounting industry has been little behind the curve when it comes to adopting new technologies. Most of the operations are executed within the office and using limited devices. Because of the exponential rise in technology, firms are not left with many options and face an important decision: adopt new technology or be left behind. Mobile technology is becoming more powerful each day. Today, accounting operations can be executed from anywhere via a laptop or smartphone instead of from your office desktop. Many forward-thinking accounting firms are moving to mobile accounting to enjoy various benefits it offers. One of the most prominent app which is used by accountants is Quickbooks Online (QBO) Mobile Application. You can use QuickBooks Online from your car, onsite with a client, or while waiting in line. The QBO Mobile App connects to your QuickBooks Online account, even if you don’t have your computer with you. Take payments from customers right from your phone. Categorize expenses on the fly. Take pictures of receipts. Bookkeeping has never been so easy and fun.

QuickBooks® Online is the perfect software to use on a smartphone or tablet while you’re providing services to clients. The QBO mobile application has the following features and benefits :

  • It reduce paperwork by creating Estimates and Invoices onsite, with signatures.
  • It eliminates after-the-fact accounting by using your camera to take pictures of receipts.
  • It also uses third-party apps to keep track of employee time cards and schedules.

In this webinar, we’ll demonstrate the specific workflow steps you’ll use to do your bookkeeping while in the field with your customers. Remember, the more you can do on the fly, the less you have to do in the office. This CPE webinar is for anyone who works while they’re out on the go, for anyone who accept credit cards for customer payments & also for Bookkeepers and Accountants who wish to make educated recommendations to clients. Intuit has also introduced new Practice Management tools inside QuickBooks® Online for Accountants (QBOA). QBOA Practice Management is a cloud-based solution designed to be the one place for accountants to effortlessly and seamlessly manage workflow, client communications and daily operations. We’ve heard the same tales from accounting professionals when it comes to managing their practice: anecdotes of missed deadlines and the fear that something will fall through the cracks.

Practice Management reduces the number of tools accountants need to manage their practice to just one. This solution is designed to eliminate the disjointed experience of manual tracking, and provide a unified view of work that delivers visibility across all initiatives. With Practice Management, users can easily create and assign tasks directly within QBOA, which are then automatically marked as complete,  once they are finished. Since QBOA is also directly connected to the applications accountants use to perform work, the software will leverage data and user behavior patterns to automate overhead and identify work that needs to get done, eliminating the need for accountants to discover and enter tasks manually.  QuickBooks Online for Accountants (QBOA) new practice management tools include :

  • The Work Center to track deadlines
  • Shared Documents
  • Slack integration
  • Stetting up Your Team
  • Manage Notifications
  • Invoice Communications

This CPE webinar will answer your questions, show you where to find your familiar tools, and introduce all the timesaving tips and tricks that make QBO®  easier to use than the desktop version. Join this webinar to learn about the Work Center to track deadlines, to-do lists, and delegate tasks, Shared Documents, My Accountant to communicate with clients, Slack integration and make more money for doing less by taking advantage of Alicia's tips that you may not discover on your own.

I have used QuickBooks for about 5 years, but had never had formal training. I used my own intuition and accounting and bookkeeping knowledge to get done what I needed to in order to generate complete and correct financials. I tended to use too many journal entries than the workflow functions, and suffered through the balance sheet account challenges that came along with that. You have inspired me to now learn the workflows and bank data download / reconciliation to use QuickBooks and its functionality appropriately. Thank you again for great information, taught in a knowledgeable and nonnintimidating way.

I could listen to Alicia's webinars all day long. She has a very refreshing way of presenting details and that's appreciated simply because there are some presenters that don't have the kind of flow mojo Stacey does and I loose interest very quickly with them

I signed up to understand how to get clients to change to QBO for a bookkeeping firm as a salesman. Thanks to Michelle's enthusiastic approach and comments throughout the series I am considering opening my own bookkeeping service--since I have to make sales either way. I can also provide risk management services and anti-fraud solutions to the list of services to sell. Thanks for helping me to find my focus.

Alicia is the best instructor I have had on a webinar for QBO yet. She went at a pretty good pace but repeated certain things to make sure we understood. I would take any webinar she teaches. Even with some issues trying to get the appropriate screens (payroll and banking), she still did an excellent job explaining things

Wow! This was a great session - so much more helpful than blundering around inside QBO by myself. This session was easy to follow, the screen share made it very clear how each part of the online QB works together. When I tried QBO 1.5 years ago it wasn't nearly as robust. I definitely learned some things that will help me streamline my workflow.

This course was presented well and although I am somewhat familiar with QBO and TimeSheets I still learned some valuable information to help me using both systems. Some handy features I learned that I hadn't know about previously are that QBO offers the ability for Employee self set-up, that it is safe to run QBO payroll from a mobile device, and that TSheets offers Geotracking and facial recognition clocking in. Very cool, Thanks
