Course Description

The Coronavirus pandemic has ushered in extraordinary economic and social challenges. The federal government enacted in late March legislation to help small businesses suffering from the COVID-19 crisis. Recent congressional Acts, such as the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act, and the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, provide economic and tax relief that has important implications for businesses—big and small. The CARES Act (Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act) provides for the availability of $349 billion in Small Business Administration (SBA) loans.

There are currently two types of loans available: Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL) and Paycheck Protection Loans (PPP). This presentation will focus on important updates and high points from the CARES Act and will give particular focus to the Paycheck Protection Program.

The Internal Revenue Service has also issued a series of notices and other guidance providing tax-related relief.  This presentation will provide viewers with a summary of the key provisions and changes that you need to know now.

  • To identify the key things about the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and PPP Loans
