Course Description

According to a recent study by Emergence Capital, some 80% of the total jobs on the planet are “deskless” – those individuals whose day-to-day responsibilities take them away from an office or cubicle.

A deskless workforce is a group of workers who don’t work behind a desk or in an office. Deskless workers are found in many industries and hold job titles such as field service technicians, home healthcare providers, field sales representatives, delivery workers, and travel consultants.

As deskless workers aren’t tethered to one location, they have unique support needs for technology, communication, employee engagement, etc. Deskless workers who are mobile and complete jobs at different locations throughout the day may require more specialized tools than those who are simply working remotely or telecommuting.

As an HR and payroll professional, how do you effectively support, engage, and enrich the day-to-day lives of your workers when they’re no longer tethered to a desk, office, or single location?

In this online CPE webinar, speaker Rob Bright covers the following Major Topics:

  • Who is the Deskless Worker?
  • How to recognize their wants, needs, and resources
  • Review a checklist of technology, services, and support
  • Ensure you maintain compliance amidst increasing complexity

He shares insightful thoughts where we unpack this topic. We will share some tips and tricks you can use to keep your workforce focused, happy, and informed.

Learning Objectives

  • To define the “deskless worker” and how it applies to today’s talent market.
