Top 200 accounting firm Adams Brown, based in Wichita, Kansas, has acquired Stafford & Westervelt, Chartered, a CPA firm with offices in Arkansas and Kansas. The deal, effective from December 1, expands Adams Brown's regional footprint to 11 offices across Kansas and three in Arkansas, with the full Stafford & Westervelt leadership team retaining similar roles.
Wichita, KS-based top 200 accounting firm Adams Brown has acquired Stafford & Westervelt, Chartered, a CPA firm with offices in Rogers, Arkansas, and Parsons, Kansas, effective Dec. 1. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Following the acquisition, Adams Brown now operates 11 offices across Kansas and three in Arkansas, further strengthening its regional footprint. In a Dec. 1 release, the firm said the expansion reflects its commitment to helping individuals and businesses navigate complex financial challenges through proactive, relationship-driven service.
The full Stafford & Westervelt leadership team, including Michael Stafford, Jay Jungles, Tina McClenning, Matthew Stafford and Patrick Heavrin, will join Adams Brown in similar leadership roles. “Expanding in Arkansas and reinforcing our presence in Kansas allows us to better serve business owners across the region,” said Ben Wilson, managing principal and CEO of Adams Brown.
Founded in 1974, Stafford & Westervelt serves a broad base of tax and accounting clients. Michael Stafford cited strong cultural alignment and Adams Brown’s holistic service model as key factors behind the combination.
