Michigan-based accounting firm Doeren Mayhew has acquired Nashville's Carson & McKinney CPAs PLLC, in a move to enhance its presence in Tennessee and deepen customer relations. Carson & McKinney's leader, Chad McKinney, will join Doeren Mayhew as a principal on the regional leadership team, marking the firm's eighth acquisition of 2025.
Troy, Mich.-based firm Doeren Mayhew has acquired Nashville’s Carson & McKinney CPAs PLLC, expanding its footprint in Middle Tennessee. The team began operating under the Doeren Mayhew name on Sept. 22.
“Doeren Mayhew is excited about our continued growth in Nashville,” said CEO Chad Anschuetz. “We’re strategically positioning ourselves in this fast-growing market with resources to deepen client relationships.”
Carson & McKinney, led by Chad McKinney, provides tax, assurance, consulting, and outsourced accounting services. McKinney joins Doeren Mayhew as a principal on the regional leadership team.
The deal is Doeren Mayhew’s eighth of 2025, following the Thurman Campbell Group acquisition, reinforcing its strategy to strengthen key market presence and enhance client service.
