Doeren Mayhew Expands into Alabama with Dent Moses Deal

Accounting firm Doeren Mayhew has acquired Dent Moses LLP and its affiliate Impact Technology Group LLC, marking its entry into Alabama and augmenting its technology service capabilities. The deal, which became effective from Feb.10, adds nine principals and almost 65 professionals to Doeren Mayhew, while enhancing its focus on scaling technology-driven solutions across its operations.
Doeren Mayhew has acquired Dent Moses LLP and its affiliate, Impact Technology Group LLC, marking the firm’s entry into Alabama and strengthening its technology services platform. The transaction became effective Feb. 10.
Founded in 1923 and based in Birmingham, Dent Moses provides audit, tax, and outsourced accounting services to high net worth individuals, privately held companies, and governmental entities. Its technology solutions practice, launched in 2001, evolved into Impact Technology Group, a managed and co-managed IT services platform.
The acquisition establishes Doeren Mayhew’s first Alabama office and adds nine principals and nearly 65 professionals. Former Dent Moses partners will remain in leadership roles, with Lee Willoughby continuing as managing principal of the Birmingham office.
Firm leadership said the addition of Impact Technology’s managed services capabilities supports a strategic priority to expand technology-driven offerings and scale innovation across its footprint. The CPA and advisory practice will operate under the Doeren Mayhew brand, while Impact Technology Group will continue under its existing name with the designation “A Doeren Mayhew Company.”
