Troy, Michigan-based accounting firm, Doeren Mayhew, has acquired South Miami firm Parlade Schaefer Schortz CPAs P.A., in a move to enhance its presence in the Floridian market and bolster its health care practice. CEO Chad Anschuetz emphasizes the acquisition's significance, stating that it will expand Doeren Mayhew's health care capabilities and broaden its service offerings, while the merger also brings 25 professionals from Parlade Schaefer Schortz into Doeren Mayhew’s team, increasing its workforce to over 1,300 in the US and nearly 1,500 globally.
Doeren Mayhew, a prominent accounting firm based in Troy, Michigan, has announced the acquisition of Parlade Schaefer Schortz CPAs P.A., a firm located in South Miami, Florida. This strategic move is set to enhance Doeren Mayhew's presence in the Florida market and bolster its health care practice. The acquisition aligns with the firm's broader strategy to invest in dynamic growth markets across the United States.
Chad Anschuetz, CEO of Doeren Mayhew Advisors, LLC, emphasized the significance of this acquisition, stating that South Florida is a key priority due to its competitive growth environment. The integration of Parlade Schaefer Schortz CPAs will not only expand Doeren Mayhew's health care capabilities but also enhance its audit, tax, and consulting services. This expansion is expected to create a more comprehensive service offering for a wider client base.
The acquisition brings 25 professionals from Parlade Schaefer Schortz into Doeren Mayhew, increasing the firm's workforce to over 1,300 team members nationwide and nearly 1,500 globally. Jaime Parlade and Justin Schaefer will continue as principals, ensuring continuity for clients and staff at the South Miami office. This move is anticipated to provide clients with access to deeper expertise and a broader range of services, including insurance, valuations, and transaction advisory.
In a joint statement, Jaime Parlade and Justin Schaefer expressed their enthusiasm for the merger, highlighting the opportunity to expand into complementary areas such as sports and entertainment. They noted that the partnership with Doeren Mayhew would allow them to better support their clients' evolving needs and expand their client base.
