Eide Bailly Expands with Volpe Brown & Traner Smith Mergers

Top 100 accounting firm Eide Bailly LLP has expanded its national presence by merging with Volpe Brown & Co. LLC in Ohio and Traner Smith in Washington. These mergers, which are aligned with Eide Bailly's cultural values and investment in talent, will expand its service offerings and increase its client reach, especially in key regional markets.

Eide Bailly LLP, a Top 100 accounting firm with FY24 revenue of $704.9 million, has expanded its national footprint with the addition of Volpe Brown & Co. LLC (North Canton, OH) and Traner Smith (Edmonds, WA). The two firms officially joined Eide Bailly on May 5 and June 2, respectively.

Tony Volpe of Volpe Brown emphasized the cultural alignment, noting, “Their values, culture, and people-first mindset mirror what we’ve built over four decades.” Eide Bailly’s current Canton team will relocate to Volpe Brown’s office, now the firm’s new North Canton location.

Meanwhile, Traner Smith brings two partners and 16 staff with deep expertise in tax compliance and advisory. “Joining Eide Bailly is a natural next step for us,” said partner Kevin Smith, citing access to resources in state and local tax, succession planning, and international tax. Partner Shane Summer added, “We’re excited to grow our reach and help more clients than ever before.”

These mergers represent Eide Bailly’s continued investment in talent and service expansion across key regional markets.
