Chicago-based Grant Thornton Advisors has announced its acquisition of Denver-based MCA Connect, a move that significantly enhances its capabilities in AI, digital transformation, and manufacturing advisory services. This strategic acquisition aligns with Grant Thornton's ongoing efforts to expand its technology and advisory services, following recent acquisitions of Auxis and Stax.
MCA Connect, known for its expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365, Fabric, and Azure platforms, will bolster Grant Thornton's advisory offerings, particularly in the manufacturing and distribution sectors. The integration of MCA Connect's 350 professionals into Grant Thornton's Denver operations is expected to be completed this summer, pending customary closing conditions.
Jim Peko, CEO of Grant Thornton Advisors, emphasized the value of MCA Connect's industry expertise and technical capabilities, stating that the acquisition will enhance the firm's ability to assist clients in modernizing their operations across various sectors and geographies. Tom Puthiyamadam, managing partner of Advisory Services, highlighted the acquisition's role in accelerating clients' digital transformation efforts.
David Durham, CEO of MCA Connect, expressed enthusiasm about the merger, noting that it will allow MCA Connect to scale its unique strengths while expanding its service offerings.
