Top 100 accounting firm RubinBrown LLP has announced its merger with The Rybar Group, a national healthcare consulting firm, in a move set to solidify the former's position in the healthcare consulting sector. The merger aims to integrate The Rybar Group's reimbursement services expertise into RubinBrown's consulting services, enhancing the firm's capabilities in providing comprehensive support to healthcare providers.
RubinBrown LLP, a top 100 accounting and business consulting firm based in Kansas City, Missouri, has announced a strategic combination with The Rybar Group, a national healthcare consulting firm headquartered in the Detroit area. This merger, effective July 1, 2024, aims to enhance RubinBrown's healthcare consulting services by integrating The Rybar Group's extensive expertise in financial management and reimbursement services for healthcare providers.
Established in 1989, The Rybar Group has been a trusted advisor to healthcare providers nationwide, offering services such as revenue cycle management, cost reporting, coding-related services, physician education, and serving as an outsourced reimbursement department for hospitals. The integration of nearly 20 team members from The Rybar Group, including President and CEO Richard Reid who joins as a partner, will operate within RubinBrown's Consulting Services Group, significantly expanding the firm's capabilities in serving healthcare systems, hospitals, physicians, and other medical providers.
Steven Harris, Managing Partner at RubinBrown, emphasized the strategic importance of this combination, stating, "Our clients will benefit from our many resources and our diverse experience in healthcare with the addition of The Rybar Group." Tom Zetlmeisl, Partner-In-Charge of RubinBrown’s Healthcare Services Group, added, "As the healthcare landscape evolves and grows even more complex, we are increasing our expertise in this area to continue to provide our clients with the services of a trusted advisor."
This merger follows RubinBrown's recent acquisitions in consulting services, including KnowledgePath Consulting in March 2023, Himes Consulting Group in July 2022, and Liberty Technology Advisors in August 2021, reflecting the firm's ongoing commitment to expanding its consulting services across various industries.
With this combination, RubinBrown, ranked as the nation's 36th largest accounting and business consulting firm, continues to strengthen its position in the healthcare consulting sector, providing clients with comprehensive support to navigate the complexities of healthcare reimbursement and financial management.
