Founded in 1975, Boyer & Boyer is led by Donald and Elizabeth Boyer, who bring decades of experience in small-to-midsize business taxation, M&A, nonprofit services, and auditing. Their addition expands Stephano Slack’s capabilities across construction, manufacturing, distribution, real estate, nonprofit organizations and professional services. “Expanding our presence in Delaware through this merger is an important step,” said Michael Stephano, founder and managing partner. The Boyer & Boyer team will join the Wilmington office while continuing operations in Middletown, DE. Donald Boyer noted that clients will retain personalized service backed by expanded resources.

KLA, founded in 1946, enters the firm through a long-planned succession strategy developed by managing partner Robert Stevenson, who joined the firm in 1985. The transition ensures continuity for clients while adding Stephano Slack’s deeper resources in HUD audits, single audits, trust services, high-net-worth planning, international tax and broader advisory capabilities. Beginning Jan. 1, 2026, the combined organization will operate under the Stephano Slack name. Existing engagement teams and leadership backups will remain in place to maintain consistency during the transition. Former KLA leaders will join an integrated partner group led by Stephano, supported by unified teams in quality, talent, technology and client experience. Founded in 2004, Stephano Slack provides outsourced accounting, audit, tax and transaction advisory services to clients across the region.
