Accounting firm UHY LLP has expanded into the Ohio market through a merger with Flynn & Company, enhancing its presence across the Great Lakes region. The strategic move adds to UHY's national growth strategy, while also offering a broader range of resources to Flynn & Company’s clients and new career opportunities for its team.
Farmington Hills–based UHY LLP (FY23 revenue: $346.6 million) has officially entered the Ohio market by merging with Flynn & Company, a Cincinnati-based accounting firm with a strong local legacy. This strategic move expands UHY’s reach across the Great Lakes region, marking a key milestone in its national growth strategy.
Flynn & Company, led by Managing Partner Richard T. Flynn, has served Cincinnati’s business community since 1994. With the transition, Flynn and his team will anchor UHY’s first Cincinnati office, bringing trusted client relationships and regional insight into UHY’s broader platform.
“Cincinnati is a thriving economic hub,” said Steven P. McCarty, UHY’s Chairman and CEO. “Combining with Flynn & Company strengthens our footprint, enhances client service in the region, and adds momentum to our nationwide expansion.”

With this acquisition, UHY now operates 42 offices nationwide and employs over 2,000 professionals, reinforcing its reputation as a fast-scaling, middle-market-focused advisory and accounting leader.
