Accounting firm Withum has merged with Texas-based Pannell Kerr Forster (PKF Texas), acquiring 20 partners and 160 team members and bolstering its reach in the Texan market while expanding its energy sector capabilities. The merger aligns with Withum’s growth and diversification strategy, offering enhanced opportunities, particularly in oilfield services and energy.
Effective June 1, 2025, Withum has officially merged with Pannell Kerr Forster of Texas (PKF Texas), an IPA 200 firm based in Houston with FY23 revenue of $36.9 million. This merger brings 20 partners and 160 team members from PKF Texas into the Withum family, solidifying the firm's footprint in Texas and expanding its energy sector capabilities.
Gary Voth, Chairman of PKF Texas, noted the cultural alignment and growth potential: “Joining forces with Withum offers our valued clients and dedicated staff even greater opportunities to thrive.” Withum’s CEO, Pat Walsh, emphasized the strategic benefit: “A presence in Space City gives us fantastic growth opportunities, particularly in oilfield services and energy.”
This merger enhances Withum’s national reach, adds significant talent in a key regional market, and aligns with its broader M&A strategy to diversify expertise, expand geographic coverage, and build sector depth in energy and beyond.
