Aprio, a leading business advisory and accounting firm, has appointed Alfonso Meza as the Government Contracting Business Applications and Transformation Leader. In this capacity, Meza will collaborate with government contractors and companies in highly regulated industries to guide them through digital transformation initiatives, focusing on systems assessments, process improvement, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and data tooling.
Professional Background:
With over 20 years of accounting experience, including 15 years dedicated to the government contracting sector, Meza possesses a deep understanding of the industry's unique challenges and opportunities. Prior to joining Aprio, he served as a partner in transformation and technology enablement solutions at a top 10 accounting firm. His extensive experience positions him to effectively address the evolving needs of government contractors, advising on technology, GAAP and regulatory compliance, policy and procedure creation, internal controls, and training.
Educational Credentials:
Meza earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and an MBA from Murray State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) through the Institute of Management Accountants. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Tennessee CPA Society.
