Baker Tilly, a top advisory CPA firm, has appointed its Principal and General Counsel Theresa Meiners as Chief Risk Officer, effective from June 1, 2024, to oversee the company's Risk Management and Legal functions. Meiners has significantly contributed to the firm's success since joining in 2016 by serving in key roles and launching the Diversity, Inclusion, Belonging, and Societal Impact and then Environmental, Social and Governance initiatives.

Meiners joined Baker Tilly in 2016, bringing with her a wealth of experience from her 12 years at Foley & Lardner LLP, where she was a partner in the litigation department. Her leadership and strategic vision have been instrumental in the firm's success, and she has also served in influential roles, including leading the firm's first formalized Diversity, Inclusion, Belonging and Societal Impact and then Environmental, Social and Governance initiatives.
