Mark Sweeney has been promoted to Supervisor in the Tax & Small Business Practice Group at Belfint, Lyons & Shuman, P.A (BLS), while Nick Allen, Nate Grubb, and Bella LaPlante have been promoted to Staff II Accountant. These promotions, part of BLS's Rotational Development Program, demonstrate the company's commitment to professional development and excellence within their practice areas.
Belfint, Lyons & Shuman, P.A. (BLS), a Top 300 CPA and consulting firm headquartered in Delaware, is proud to announce several well-earned promotions.
Mark Sweeney has been promoted to Supervisor in the Tax & Small Business Practice Group. Since joining the firm in 2009, Mark has provided comprehensive consulting, tax planning, compliance, and financial statement services for small businesses and their owners. His experience includes working for both a construction company and a public accounting firm, giving him unique insight into client needs. Mark is a University of Delaware graduate and a CPA, actively involved with the AICPA, DSCPA, and Delaware Contractors Association.
Nick Allen, Nate Grubb, and Bella LaPlante have been promoted to Staff II Accountant. Nick began at BLS as a high school scanner and summer intern, now contributing full-time to the Employee Benefit Plan Audit Practice Group. Nate, a former 2023 summer intern, is a remote team member also in the Employee Benefit Plan Audit Practice Group. Bella joined as a 2024 Tax Season Intern and now focuses on the Tax & Small Business Practice Group. All three are recent graduates with degrees in accounting or finance and have quickly grown within BLS’s Rotational Development Program.
These promotions reflect BLS’s commitment to developing talent internally, fostering career growth, and maintaining excellence across its practice areas.
