Brady Martz & Associates Appoints Stacy DuToit as CEO

North Dakota-based accounting firm, Brady Martz & Associates, has named Stacy DuToit, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with significant auditing, accounting, tax, and private business-consulting expertise, as CEO replacing retired former CEO Todd Van Dusen. This step signifies a new era for the company and the selection of DuToit, who joined the firm in 2001 and steadily advanced from an associate to a shareholder and COO, reaffirms their commitment to strong leadership.

Grand Forks, N.D.-based firm Brady Martz & Associates, with FY23 net revenue of $57.4 million, announced the official appointment of Stacy DuToit as CEO, effective October 1, 2024. This transition marks a new era for the firm, following the retirement of former CEO Todd Van Dusen, which led to a comprehensive search process culminating in DuToit’s selection by the shareholder group.

Expressing her enthusiasm, DuToit stated, “Brady Martz has a long history of strong leadership, and I’m honored to be stepping into the role of CEO to lead our incredibly talented and dedicated team. We have a solid foundation built by generations of shareholders that came before us, and I’m excited for our team to continue to build on that foundation and elevate the impact we have on our clients and the communities we serve.”

DuToit is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with extensive expertise in auditing, accounting, tax, and business consulting for privately held businesses. She is an active member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the North Dakota Society of Certified Public Accountants (NDSCPA), and she currently serves on the Bismarck-Mandan Chamber Foundation board. Her numerous leadership contributions also include her role as a former Trustee for the North Dakota Certified Public Accountants Society Foundation. Her accomplishments were recognized in Prairie Business magazine's Top 25 Women in Business.

DuToit joined Brady Martz as an associate in 2001, steadily advancing to become a Shareholder in 2012. Over the years, she has held several leadership positions, including overseeing the Bismarck market, serving on the Board of Directors, and becoming the firm’s first COO. Her enduring commitment to the firm's growth and her extensive experience have been central to her advancement to the CEO role.
