Audit expert Richard Fuchs has returned to CohnReznick as a partner within the financial services industry practice, bringing with him extensive experience leading assurance engagements for alternative investment firms. His rehiring bolsters CohnReznick's commitment to experienced audit leadership, addressing the increasing regulatory scrutiny and reporting complexities across the financial services sector.
CohnReznick has announced that Richard Fuchs has rejoined the firm as an audit partner within its financial services industry practice, strengthening its assurance leadership serving investment firms.
Based in New Jersey, Fuchs brings extensive experience leading assurance engagements for alternative investment firms, including broker dealers, hedge funds, venture capital firms, private equity funds, and special purpose acquisition companies. His background also includes employee benefit plan audits and serving in office managing partner roles, where he provided operational and firm leadership.
In his role at CohnReznick, Fuchs will provide accounting and audit services to financial services clients, supporting compliance with complex reporting and regulatory requirements, including those governed by the SEC and FINRA. His experience aligns with the firm’s focus on addressing the evolving compliance needs of middle market investment firms.
Prior to rejoining CohnReznick, Fuchs served as an assurance partner in the financial services practice of a Top 25 accounting firm. He has also previously held roles as office managing partner and assurance partner at another large firm, with a longstanding focus on the financial services industry.
The rehiring reflects CohnReznick’s continued investment in experienced audit leadership to support clients navigating increasing regulatory scrutiny and reporting complexity across the financial services sector.
