Greensboro-based firm DMJPS promotes Mason Barringer and David Mize to partners, enhancing the company's assurance, tax, and advisory services. Barringer will also take on the role of Firmwide Director of Assurance, leveraging over a decade of experience in various industries, while Mize will apply his 15-year career in public accounting to specialise in flow-through taxation.
Greensboro, N.C. – DMJPS, a Greensboro-based firm with a fiscal year 2023 net revenue of $31.6 million, proudly announces the promotion of Mason Barringer and David Mize to partners, effective November 1, 2024. This strategic advancement further enhances the firm’s expertise in assurance, tax, and advisory services.
Mason Barringer will also take on the role of Firmwide Director of Assurance. In this capacity, he will oversee quality control, develop strategic processes, and promote team development. With over a decade of extensive experience, Barringer leads audits, reviews, and other attestation engagements, specializing in fraud detection and litigation support. His diverse client base spans various industries, including nonprofits, real estate, manufacturing, local government, and construction. Mason earned a B.S. in Accounting from the University of North Carolina – Greensboro and is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). He has previously served on the NCACPA’s Young CPA Cabinet and is currently an Investment Committee Member for the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants.
David Mize, who brings more than 15 years of public accounting experience, specializes in flow-through taxation. His expertise encompasses tax planning and compliance for privately held businesses, focusing on real estate, manufacturing, and trucking sectors. Mize is proficient in multi-state tax compliance, state tax planning strategies, and structuring complex transactions for maximum tax benefits. He holds a B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Baltimore and actively contributes to the community as the Board of Directors President for Earlier.Org. Additionally, he is an alumnus of the Leadership of North Carolina program, aimed at developing and engaging committed leaders across the state.
