Forvis Mazars Adds Rich Cropper as Principal to Assurance Team in Charlotte

Forvis Mazars has announced the addition of Rich Cropper as a principal within its assurance practice based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Cropper brings over 16 years of experience in financial services audits and regulatory compliance to the firm, further strengthening its capabilities in serving complex, global banking clients.
In his new role, Cropper will focus on delivering audit services to SEC-registered and international bank clients. His expertise will also support U.S. banking regulatory compliance, reporting requirements for both middle-market and global institutions, risk and control framework enhancements, and internal audit outsourcing engagements.
Cropper’s career has spanned the UK, EU, and U.S. financial services markets, with a specialization in auditing SEC filers and advising global, super-regional, and middle-market banks. Prior to joining Forvis Mazars, he dedicated two years to advancing audit quality and refining quality control systems, methodology, and compliance with PCAOB standards at a prior audit firm. His extensive consulting experience also includes work with treasury, regulatory, finance, compliance, and internal audit functions of both international and domestic banking institutions.
