Forvis Mazars, an accounting firm reporting net revenue of $2.15 billion in FY2024, has recently implemented several leadership changes, including the appointment of Amy Smith as chief talent officer, and Tim York and Fran Randall joining the U.S. Governing Board. These updates align with the firm's commitment to talent development, sector expertise, and strategic growth, and also include the naming of Aprille Bell, Lindsay Conley, Jason Myers, and Bryan Wright as new national sector leaders, and Tony Spratte as the managing partner for the St. Louis and Decatur practices.

Forvis Mazars, an IPA 100 firm with FY2024 net revenue of $2.15 billion, has announced a series of leadership changes and appointments that underscore its ongoing commitment to talent development, sector expertise, and long-term strategic direction.

Amy Smith has officially stepped into the role of chief talent officer as of June 1, following a six-month transition alongside outgoing CTO Lori Haley, who retired on May 31. Smith brings over 25 years of experience in HR and operations leadership across various industries. As a member of the senior leadership team reporting to CEO Tom Watson, Smith will guide talent strategy in support of the firm’s growth.

Tim York and Fran Randall have joined the U.S. Governing Board, with York assuming the role of board chair, succeeding Matt Snow. Snow, who chaired the board since 2022, retired on May 31. Additionally, Rob Pruitt, partner and chief practice and innovation officer, has succeeded Snow as vice chair of the Global Network Board, while John Kmetz—head of the firm’s national assurance and SEC practices—has also been appointed to the Global Network Board.

In a further expansion of leadership capabilities, the firm announced four new national sector leaders:

  • Aprille Bell – Infrastructure
  • Lindsay Conley – Consumer & Logistics
  • Jason Myers – Real Estate
  • Bryan Wright – Manufacturing

Tim York, who also serves as chief growth officer, emphasized the importance of these appointments, noting that each leader brings deep industry insight and a commitment to delivering an exceptional client experience.

Rounding out the leadership updates, Tony Spratte has been named managing partner of the firm’s St. Louis and Decatur, Illinois, practice unit, effective June 1. He succeeds John Mather, who retired after leading the unit since 2021. Spratte expressed enthusiasm for the opportunity, highlighting the strength of the team and the firm’s momentum in the region.

These appointments reflect Forvis Mazars’ continued investment in people and leadership as it positions itself for sustained growth and industry leadership.

Until next time…
