Forvis Mazars, a top accounting firm, has appointed Anthony Pasternak as the market leader for its Omaha office. Pasternak will engage with the local business community, lead recruitment activities, and assist in office management tasks while also continuing in his role on the School of Accountancy Advisory Board at the University of Nebraska and the Nebraska Society of Certified Public Accountants' Taxation Committee.
Omaha, Nebraska – Forvis Mazars, LLP, a prominent firm with a fiscal year 2024 net revenue of $2.15 billion, has announced the appointment of Partner Anthony Pasternak as the market leader in Omaha. In this role, Pasternak will actively engage with the local business community, fostering relationships with key leaders and clients.
Pasternak will also spearhead the firm’s recruiting initiatives, drive practice development, and assist in office management activities, continuing to work under the leadership of Chris Lindner, Managing Partner for Forvis Mazars’ Nebraska practice, which encompasses offices in both Lincoln and Omaha.
“Anthony is the perfect choice to lead our Omaha market,” stated Lindner. “As a proud Nebraska resident who has built his career in the state, Anthony’s deep local knowledge and extensive experience make him uniquely qualified for this role. His leadership, integrity, and passion for helping others have consistently defined his work, and we are confident in his ability to help propel our continued success in the region.”
Since joining Forvis Mazars in 2005, Pasternak has navigated the firm through significant transformations, including the 2022 merger that established FORVIS and the recent formation of the Forvis Mazars global network. Throughout his tenure, he has collaborated with clients, providing expertise in tax preparation, liability reduction, and business consulting.
“I’m honored to step into this new role and bring my passion for helping the Omaha community continue to thrive,” said Pasternak. “I look forward to leveraging my knowledge of our area while continuing to help our people and clients unlock their full potential.”
In addition to his leadership role, Pasternak serves on the School of Accountancy Advisory Board at the University of Nebraska and is a member of the Taxation Committee for the Nebraska Society of Certified Public Accountants. In this capacity, he provides guidance on federal, state, and local tax issues, supports Society members and government authorities, and works to elevate public understanding of the CPA’s role in taxation. He holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
