Grassi, a financial service firm, has announced the addition of Christopher Mears as its Financial Services Practice Leader and partner, and Toni Mazzacca as Tax Partner, both equipped with over sixty years of combined experience in advising various financial institutions. Their addition enhances Grassi's ability to support clients in a complex regulatory environment, with Mears overseeing the strategic direction of the practice and Mazzacca strengthening the firm's tax capabilities.
Grassi has announced the addition of Christopher Mears as financial services practice leader and partner, along with Toni Mazzacca as tax partner, strengthening leadership across its financial services platform.
Mears and Mazzacca bring more than 60 years of combined experience advising investment funds and regulated financial institutions, including hedge funds, private equity and venture capital firms, asset managers, investment advisers, banks, and broker dealers. Their appointments enhance the firm’s ability to support clients operating in an increasingly complex regulatory environment.
As financial services practice leader, Mears will oversee the strategic direction of the practice with a focus on quality, consistency, and oversight. Prior to joining Grassi, he led the asset management practice at a Big Four firm, where he managed audit, compliance, and advisory services for a broad financial services client base.
Mazzacca joins the firm with extensive tax leadership experience, including serving as a tax partner at a Top 10 accounting firm and more than two decades as a director at a Big Four firm. Her background strengthens Grassi’s financial services tax capabilities, particularly for clients navigating multijurisdictional and highly specialized tax structures.
Grassi’s financial services practice has served the industry for more than 40 years, providing assurance, tax, and advisory services to alternative investment funds and regulated financial institutions.
