GRF CPAs & Advisors has promoted Patty Kautz, Julie Hulem, and John McIntosh to its partnership group and added Christian Spencer, CPA, to its Audit & Assurance team, effective January 1, 2025. This leadership expansion underscores the firm's focus on developing its leadership and deepening its expertise in the nonprofit and tax sectors.
GRF CPAs & Advisors has elevated three leaders to the partnership group and welcomed a fourth new team member as partner, effective January 1, 2025. The firm announced promotions for Patty Kautz, Julie Hulem, and John McIntosh, alongside the addition of Christian Spencer, CPA, to the Audit & Assurance team. These moves underscore GRF’s commitment to leadership development and deepening its nonprofit and tax expertise.
Julie Hulem, CPA, has over 13 years of experience in tax compliance and planning, with a strong focus on flow-through entities. A key member of GRF’s For-Profit Tax team, Hulem also supports corporate and individual clients across industries including government contracting, professional services, and real estate. Patty Kautz, CPA, brings 35 years of experience in financial management, operations, M&A, and strategic risk. Her leadership helps accounting firms strengthen infrastructure and governance for long-term success.
John McIntosh, CPA, has served in GRF’s audit department since 2015 and specializes in nonprofit audit and compliance. His deep understanding of federal funding and cross-border operations makes him a trusted resource for international NGOs and other mission-driven clients. Joining the firm as a new partner, Christian Spencer, CPA, brings nearly three decades of experience, with 25 years focused exclusively on nonprofit audit and compliance. His work spans professional associations, schools, alternative investment oversight, and federal grant audits.
