Hala Martin has been announced as the new managing partner of Ernst & Young LLP's San Francisco office, succeeding Phillip Mazzie, who will take on a national leadership role. Martin, who has more than 25 years of experience in advising technology and fintech companies, will officially assume her new position on Jan. 2.
San Francisco-based firm Ernst & Young LLP (EY) has announced that Hala Martin will become managing partner of its San Francisco office, effective Jan. 2. She succeeds Phillip Mazzie, who is transitioning into a national leadership role serving technology, media and entertainment, and telecommunications clients.
Martin is a partner in EY’s assurance practice and has been with the firm since 2000. She brings more than 25 years of experience advising technology and fintech companies, ranging from venture capital-backed startups to large multinational organizations. Her background includes supporting clients through complex transactions, IPOs and other critical business milestones.
She holds an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Concordia University in Montreal.
Mazzie will continue his career at EY in a national role, focusing on strategic client service across the technology, media and entertainment, and telecommunications sectors.
