Accounting firm Hannis T. Bourgeois, LLP (HTB) has promoted five employees to leadership roles; Jenna E. Frederic, Alicia J. Knighton, and Chase M. Ruiz become Partners, Evan B. Hull is now Associate Partner, and Ashley E. Wellons is now Director of Assurance Operations. These appointments, which take effect on January 1, 2024, underscore HTB's strategic plans for growth and its policy of internal talent recognition and development.
Hannis T. Bourgeois, LLP (HTB) has announced the elevation of five professionals to key leadership roles, effective January 1, 2024. The promotions include Jenna E. Frederic, CPA, Alicia J. Knighton, CPA, and Chase M. Ruiz, CPA to Partner, Evan B. Hull, CPA to Associate Partner, and Ashley E. Wellons, CPA to Director of Assurance Operations. These appointments reinforce HTB’s strategic growth trajectory and its commitment to recognizing talent from within.
Jenna Frederic, a Baton Rouge-based assurance leader with HTB since 2006, brings a wealth of expertise across employee benefit plans, construction, and small business sectors. She also helped establish the firm’s Women’s Initiative Network. Alicia Knighton, another Baton Rouge team member, specializes in corporate taxation and multistate issues, with a strong focus on the construction sector. Denham Springs-based Chase Ruiz works closely with clients on corporate and individual tax compliance, known for his hands-on integration and planning support.
New Associate Partner Evan Hull is a key member of HTB’s assurance practice, focusing on construction and employee benefit plan clients. Meanwhile, Ashley Wellons has been named Director of Assurance Operations, where she will drive process innovation, optimize scheduling, and lead the internal efficiency efforts of HTB’s assurance team.
