Herbein + Company Announces Leadership Updates

Pennsylvania-based accounting firm, Herbein + Company, Inc., has announced key leadership appointments, with Joshua A. Pollet set to become CFO in 2025. Additionally, Craig A. Mengel and Christopher M. Turtell will take up new roles as Managing Directors in the Business Enterprise Practice and Assurance Practice, respectively, as part of the company's plan to align leadership with its strategic growth targets.

Herbein + Company, Inc., a leading accounting and advisory firm based in Reading, Pennsylvania, has announced key leadership transitions to position the firm for continued growth and success. These changes reflect Herbein's commitment to aligning its leadership structure with its strategic priorities.

Appointment of Joshua A. Pollet as Chief Financial Officer

Effective October 1, 2025, Joshua A. Pollet, CPA, will assume the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO), succeeding the current CFO, Joseph J. Witkowski, CPA, who plans to retire in late 2026 after a distinguished 33-year career with the firm. Pollet's appointment underscores Herbein's focus on developing exceptional leaders who align with the firm's strategic vision. With nearly two decades of experience in finance, strategic planning, and M&A advisory, Pollet has been instrumental in shaping Herbein's client service and long-term direction.

Leadership Transitions in Key Practice Areas

In addition to Pollet's appointment, Herbein has announced two other significant leadership transitions:

• Craig A. Mengel: A partner since 2017, Mengel has been appointed Managing Director of the Business Enterprise Practice, succeeding Steven M. Wolf, who will now guide Herbein's M&A post-integration processes.

• Christopher M. Turtell: A partner since 2016, Turtell has been named Managing Director of the firm's Assurance Practice, succeeding Pollet.

These leadership changes are part of Herbein's strategy to align its leadership structure with its strategic priorities, ensuring the firm is well-equipped to meet future challenges and opportunities.
