Calibre CPA Group has appointed James E. Gomes as its new Managing Partner, effective from January 1, 2024. Gomes, a seasoned member of the firm with over 25 years of experience, will succeed Jim Kokolas who will become Co-Managing Partner to aid a smooth transition and continue to work alongside Gomes to maintain the firm's high standards of service.

Calibre CPA Group, a prominent accounting firm headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, has announced the appointment of James E. Gomes as its new Managing Partner, effective January 1, 2024.

Background and Experience

James Gomes brings over 25 years of experience and leadership within Calibre CPA Group. His election to Managing Partner reflects his deep expertise and alignment with the firm's core values and strategic objectives. In his new role, Gomes will oversee the firm's operations and strategic direction, focusing on supporting partners and staff while ensuring clients continue to receive the highest standard of service.

Transition and Leadership Continuity

Former Managing Partner Jim Kokolas, who has successfully led the firm to numerous achievements, will assume the role of Co-Managing Partner to facilitate a seamless transition. He will remain actively involved in the management committee and work closely with Gomes in the foreseeable future. Kokolas expressed confidence in Gomes's leadership, stating, "James brings a wealth of experience, knowledge, and leadership that will continue to steer our firm towards new heights."
