Josh Swain, a tax partner with over 16 years of experience, was appointed as the new national sector leader for Forvis Mazars LLP's Technology, Media, Telecommunications (TMT), Life Sciences & Services practice. Effective from June 1, he succeeded Billy Parker, and his role will include overseeing collaboration, developing strategies, and enhancing client support initiatives, particularly with the integration of artificial intelligence.
Forvis Mazars LLP, a prominent firm with a fiscal year 2024 net revenue of $2.2 billion, has announced the appointment of Josh Swain as the new national sector leader for its Technology, Media, Telecommunications (TMT), Life Sciences & Services practice, effective June 1. Swain succeeds Billy Parker, who will transition from the role next year after a distinguished 40-year career, including seven years at the helm of the practice.
Swain, a seasoned tax partner with over 16 years of experience, has been instrumental in serving clients in the Metro D.C. area, particularly in technology, private equity, and government contracting sectors. His new role will involve overseeing cross-service line collaboration, developing scalable go-to-market strategies, and enhancing client support initiatives in response to the rapidly evolving market demands, including the integration of artificial intelligence.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the new role, Swain highlighted the entrepreneurial culture at Forvis Mazars, which he believes fosters opportunities for innovation and growth. He aims to work closely with other sector leaders to strengthen client relationships and advance the firm's growth priorities. Tim York, Chief Growth Officer of Forvis Mazars, emphasized Swain's sector insight and forward-looking perspective as key assets in helping clients leverage digital transformation for measurable advantages.
The TMT, Life Sciences & Services practice at Forvis Mazars serves a diverse range of industries nationwide, including technology, software, media, telecommunications, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices. Parker praised Swain as a steady and collaborative leader, noting his client-first mindset and sector knowledge as vital to maintaining momentum for the firm's team members and clients.
