KPMG LLP has announced the launch of KPMG Law US, an independently managed subsidiary, making it the first Big 4-affiliated law firm to enter the US legal market. This move reflects the rapid transformation within the legal services industry, as businesses seek technology-driven legal solutions to optimize operations and gain a competitive edge.
Expanding Legal Capabilities with Technology Integration
KPMG Law US will focus on AI-powered legal services, legal managed services, and legal operations consulting, leveraging KPMG Digital Gateway and advanced legal technology solutions. By integrating artificial intelligence and automation, the firm aims to enhance efficiency, compliance, and strategic decision-making for corporate legal departments.
The new law firm will collaborate with KPMG’s global network of law firms operating in over 80 jurisdictions, expanding its ability to deliver cross-border legal solutions. Clients will benefit from integrated professional services, combining legal expertise with KPMG’s well-established capabilities in tax, risk, and compliance advisory.
Strategic Positioning and Leadership Vision

KPMG Law US will be based in Arizona, where KPMG already serves more than 100 clients. The firm will maintain a strategic alignment with KPMG’s Tax practice while operating as an independent entity, ensuring compliance with legal industry regulations while upholding KPMG’s standards in ethics, independence, and professional quality.
