Lisa Myers has stepped into the role of Managing Partner at Pennsylvania-based accounting and consulting firm Boyer & Ritter, succeeding Robert J. Murphy as part of a multi-year succession plan. Myers, the firm's first Chief Operating Officer and first female partner, will work with the new management team to continue the firm's growth and its commitment to exceptional client service.
Boyer & Ritter, a prominent accounting and consulting firm based in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, has announced that Lisa Myers has assumed the role of Managing Partner, effective July 1, 2024.
This transition is the culmination of a multi-year succession plan designed to ensure the firm's continued ability to meet client needs. Robert J. Murphy, who has led Boyer & Ritter as CEO for the past 15 years, will continue with the firm as a principal on a part-time basis over the next year to facilitate a smooth transition.
Myers, who became the firm's first Chief Operating Officer in 2022, has been with Boyer & Ritter since 1989 and was elected as the firm's first female partner in 1999. She also chairs the advisory services group. In her new role, Myers will work closely with the firm's leadership team to continue serving clients with the highest level of dedication and expertise.
Reflecting on the transition, Myers stated, "Under Bob’s thoughtful and visionary leadership, Boyer & Ritter has grown into a regional leader, well positioned for continued success. I look forward to working closely with our talented team to continue serving our clients with the highest level of dedication and expertise."
Murphy, who joined the firm in 1980, added, "It has been an immense honor to lead this incredible team of talented professionals, and together, we achieved remarkable milestones. As I pass the torch to Lisa and our new leadership team, I have full confidence that Boyer & Ritter is poised for even greater achievements under their guidance."
This leadership transition is part of Boyer & Ritter's strategic plan to distribute CEO responsibilities among a management team, fostering collaboration and industry specialization. The new management team includes Tom Taricani as Chair of the Executive Committee, Matt Wildasin and Jay Goldman as Chief Growth Officers, and Lisa Myers as Managing Partner.
Boyer & Ritter has been recognized for its commitment to excellence, being named among the Mid-Atlantic’s top accounting firms by Accounting Today Magazine for eight consecutive years and earning a place among Inside Public Accounting's top 300 firms nationally by revenue.
With this seamless leadership transition, Boyer & Ritter is well-positioned to continue its growth and dedication to providing exceptional client service.
Until next time…
