Kevin Harris has been promoted to partner at MahoneySabol, a Glastonbury-based regional accounting firm, marking his contributions to client services and the firm's growth and innovation. Harris, who specializes in closely held businesses, high-net-worth individuals, and succession planning, will continue his role in tax services, overseeing a team, and maintaining compliance for a diverse group of clients.
MahoneySabol, a Glastonbury-based regional accounting firm, has announced the promotion of Kevin Harris to partner, effective January 1, 2025. The advancement recognizes Harris’s leadership, commitment to client service, and contributions to the firm’s growth and innovation.
Harris, who joined the firm in 2015, will continue to oversee tax services, lead a team of professionals, and ensure compliance for a diverse client base, including individuals, corporations, partnerships, and not-for-profits. He has played a key role in advancing recruiting and technology integration within the tax practice, contributing to a culture of excellence across MahoneySabol’s 70 professionals.
Managing Partner James Mahoney highlighted Harris’s impact on client service and staff development, noting his ability to blend technical expertise with mentorship and strategic thinking. Harris specializes in closely held businesses, high-net-worth individuals, and succession planning, with experience across renewable energy, manufacturing, construction, real estate, not-for-profits, and breweries and distilleries.
Expressing gratitude for the support of colleagues and clients, Harris said he looks forward to building on the firm’s success while continuing to foster growth opportunities for team members. He holds degrees in accounting and taxation from Central Connecticut State University and the University of Hartford and is active in the community, serving on boards including the Glastonbury YMCA and CCSU Institute of Technology and Business Development.
