PwC has appointed former U.S. Department of the Treasury senior advisor, Beth Bell, as a principal in its Washington National Tax Services practice. Bell, who brings significant domestic and international tax policy experience, will strengthen PwC's tax policy and advisory capabilities amidst an increasingly complex legislative and regulatory setting.
PwC has announced the addition of Beth Bell as a principal in its Washington National Tax Services practice, further strengthening its tax policy and technical advisory capabilities amid an evolving legislative and regulatory environment.
Bell brings extensive experience advising on domestic and international tax policy matters. Most recently, she served as a senior advisor at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, where she provided counsel on federal tax policy, regulatory implementation, and international tax negotiations under both the Biden and Trump administrations. Her background also includes serving as tax counsel on the House Committee on Ways and Means and as tax counsel to a member of the Senate Finance Committee.
In her new role, Bell will advise clients on a wide range of tax policy and technical issues, drawing on her experience navigating legislative processes and regulatory frameworks. Her appointment comes as organizations face increased complexity following the enactment of significant tax legislation and ongoing global tax negotiations affecting cross border structures.
PwC leadership noted that Bell’s policy insight and practical experience enhance the firm’s ability to translate complex tax developments into actionable guidance for clients. Her addition continues recent growth within the Washington National Tax Services practice, which has expanded its bench of specialists supporting areas such as international tax, tax controversy, energy transition, and mergers and acquisitions.
PwC stated that the practice’s collective experience across multiple administrations reflects its commitment to providing balanced, informed guidance in a dynamic tax environment.
