Knoxville-based accounting firm, PYA, has appointed John Knox as a tax principal. Knox brings over a decade of experience in tax planning, compliance, and advisory services, with a speciality in federal, multi-state, and international tax compliance that's set to enhance the firm's service delivery.
PYA, a Knoxville, Tenn.-based IPA 100 firm, has announced the admission of John Knox as tax principal. Based in the firm’s Charlotte office, Knox brings more than 12 years of experience in tax planning, compliance, and advisory services across a broad range of industries.
Knox advises clients in investment management, private equity, health care, energy, consumer and industrial products, and manufacturing. His expertise includes federal, multi-state, and international tax compliance; corporate and partnership income tax; and mergers and acquisitions tax advisory.
Mike Shamblin, managing principal of accounting and advisory, highlighted Knox’s consultative and growth-oriented approach, noting his ability to identify high-value tax strategies that deliver measurable results for clients. Jennifer Blackwood, managing principal of tax, added that Knox’s combination of technical expertise and strategic leadership strengthens the firm’s tax practice and enhances service delivery.
