Tom Thornton Joins REDW as Tech Solutions Principal

REDW Advisors & CPAs has appointed Tom Thornton as a Principal in its Technology Solutions department. With nearly three decades of experience, Thornton's new role will focus on enhancing the department's capabilities and modernising operations while expanding the company's technology offerings in line with REDW's commitment to deeper technology integration.

REDW Advisors & CPAs has announced the addition of Tom Thornton as a Principal in its Technology Solutions department. With nearly three decades of experience in business software optimization, data analytics, and nonprofit technology consulting, Thornton will lead strategic growth efforts aimed at modernizing client operations and expanding REDW’s technology offerings.

In his new role, Thornton will focus on enhancing the Technology Solutions group’s capabilities, driving client-centric innovation, and delivering tailored software and analytics support to nonprofit organizations, Tribal Nations, government agencies, and small to mid-sized businesses. His appointment reflects REDW’s commitment to integrating technology more deeply into its advisory approach.

Thornton previously held key leadership roles at Net at Work LLP, where he served as Practice Director and industry lead for both the not-for-profit and healthcare finance sectors. He also served as Chief Operating Officer of JMT Consulting Group, a firm specializing in nonprofit technology consulting. His background uniquely positions him to scale REDW’s tech initiatives across its four U.S. offices and remote global workforce.

Based in the Austin, Texas area, Thornton holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin. Beyond his professional pursuits, he has maintained a strong record of community service, including volunteer roles with the Capital Area Food Bank and the Boy Scouts of America.
