REDW Names James Karberg Wealth Practice Leader

James R. Karberg has been appointed as practice leader of REDW Wealth LLC, the SEC registered investment advisory subsidiary of REDW Advisors & CPAs, where he will oversee its strategic direction, growth, and continued development. Karberg succeeds Douglas Hatcher, who will remain with the firm in a senior leadership role, and brings prior experience advising high net worth clients and working with Fortune 500 organizations.
REDW Advisors & CPAs has appointed James R. Karberg as practice leader of REDW Wealth LLC, the firm’s SEC registered investment advisory subsidiary.
In the role, Karberg will guide the strategic direction and growth of the firm’s wealth management practice while overseeing the continued development of REDW Wealth’s advisory platform. His responsibilities include aligning the firm’s long term strategy with the delivery of tax efficient wealth management and integrated financial planning services.
Karberg succeeds Douglas Hatcher, who previously led the wealth practice and will remain with the firm in a senior leadership role focused on client growth, relationship development and business expansion initiatives. In addition to leading the practice, Karberg will continue serving as chief compliance officer, overseeing regulatory oversight, compliance strategy and risk management across the wealth division.
Prior to joining REDW in 2024, Karberg was a principal at Phoenix based Hatcher Financial PC, which combined with REDW to expand the firm’s wealth management capabilities. Earlier in his career, he advised high net worth and emerging high net worth clients while working with Fortune 500 organizations.
