REDW Welcomes Six New Principals Across Key Practice Areas Amid Strategic Growth

REDW Advisors & CPAs has announced the elevation of five distinguished team members to Principal roles and the addition of one new Principal, expanding leadership across its Client Advisory, Audit & Assurance, and Tax practices. These appointments reflect the firm’s continued investment in people and expertise as it experiences accelerated national growth. 

Client Advisory and Accounting Services (CAAS) 

Colaine Curtis, MBA 

 A REDW team member since 2015, Curtis brings decades of experience in financial leadership roles, including CFO and Controller positions in private industry and Tribal governments. An enrolled member of the Navajo Nation, she supports clients nationwide and is based in the Phoenix office. She holds both bachelor’s and MBA degrees from New Mexico State University and has served in various community roles, including as a board member of the Navajo Agricultural Products Industry. 

Audit & Assurance 

Kwok Leung (Albert) Cheung, CPA 

 Cheung has been with REDW since 2013 and specializes in audits for Native American tribes, governments, benefit plans, and construction clients. He holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Accountancy and Business Administration from Arizona State University and is licensed in Arizona. He is based in Phoenix and supports clients across all offices. 

Jonathan Rothweiler, CPA 

 A career-long REDW professional since 2008, Rothweiler brings deep experience in governmental audits and Tribal enterprise work. He holds advanced designations including CGFM and the AICPA’s Advanced Single Audit Certificate. Based in Albuquerque, he is actively involved with the New Mexico Society of CPAs and the Association of Government Accountants. 

Kyle Stewart, CPA 

 Joining REDW from RSM LLP, Stewart brings over 20 years of experience serving nonprofit, healthcare, insurance, and education clients. He has been recognized as a Trailblazer by the Oklahoma Society of CPAs and is active in community leadership roles with The Homeless Alliance and New Song Church. He is based in the Oklahoma City office. 

Tax 

Tamara L. Beall, CPA 

 Since joining REDW in 2019, Beall has led with distinction in tax services and industry involvement. She is Chair-Elect of the New Mexico Society of CPAs and active with CREW NM. A “40 Under 40” honoree, Beall holds two bachelor’s degrees and two master’s degrees from the University of New Mexico. She is based in Albuquerque and also contributes to learning and development firmwide. 

Scott L. Miller, CPA 

 Miller joined REDW in 2022 through its merger with Edwards, Largay, Mihaylo & Co. He draws from prior experience in the engineering and automotive sectors and currently serves on the Arizona State Board of Accountancy’s Tax Advisory Committee. Based in Phoenix, he holds degrees in Accounting and Engineering Arts from Michigan State University.

The announcement comes on the heels of three newly created firmwide leadership roles: Katherine Bastow as Vice President of People Operations, Michelle Burdett as Vice President of Finance, and Shawn Fisher as Vice President of Information Technology. These appointments follow REDW’s late 2023 expansion into the Pacific Northwest with the opening of its Salem, Oregon office. 

Together, these milestones reflect REDW’s robust strategic trajectory, deepening leadership across disciplines while maintaining its mission-driven culture and commitment to delivering impactful advisory services nationwide.
